"We Will Always Love You"

The Avalanches took a decade and a half between releasing debut Since I Left You and sophomore album Wildflower, but if some new teasers are to be believed, new material could be arriving sooner than we think.

Earlier this week, the Australian outfit updated their social media channels to feature some new, out-of-this-world graphics, which were then followed up by a snap of a billboard in Melbourne.

The large advert, featuring a similar cosmic swirl, also includes text that reads "After We Die, What Then?" and "We Will Always Love You," complete with a string of Morse code and a website address for wwaly.earth.

The site features a teaser video and the aforementioned Morse code, which translates as "The Avalanches." You can find the real world billboard and the group's social profile updates below.

The Avalanches began recording the follow-up to Wildflower in August 2017 and had hinted at a fruitful writing process earlier that year.

As the group's Robbie Chater told Sydney radio station FBI that May, "It's flowing so quickly...I think getting Wildflower out of the way and following up Since I Left You feels like a weight's been lifted. The music is really light, it's some of the best stuff we've done."
