Days ahead of performing in Canada on their 2022 North American tour, the Avalanches have cancelled the trek's remaining dates.

"Unfortunately due to serious illness we have had to make the heartbreaking decision to cancel our remaining US and Canadian shows to return home," the group wrote in a statement today.

"Thank you to everyone who has made this tour so joyous, and apologies to everyone who had tickets for the remaining shows. All ticket holders will be contacted directly with refund details."

Following a stop at Vancouver's Malkin Bowl in September, the Avalanches were due to play Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre on October 4, ahead of a show at Montreal's Corona Theatre on October 5.

Find the group's complete affected itinerary below.

The North American tour behind We Will Always Love You had previously been rescheduled in late 2021.
