Moses Sumney has come to offer us a parting gift before he takes a "continued break" from making music. His latest live concert film, entitled A Performance in V Acts, will arrive next week on August 31 via TUNTUM.

Featuring songs from 2020's græ as well as a cover of "Come to Me" by Björk, the concert film was recorded during Sumney's performance at the Ford Theater in Los Angeles on October 31, 2021. It was made possible by YouTube's Black Voices fund, and will be available on the video platform upon its release.

The film will also be Sumney's last musical project for some time. "A Performance in V Acts marks the official end of the græ album cycle," said Sumney. "It's a capsule of our headline show since we will not be touring the album after all. This film also ushers in a new period of creativity for me — one in which I take a continued break from making albums and touring music to focus on other disciplines."

It was recently announced that Sumney has been cast in the upcoming HBO series The Idol, assembled by the Weeknd and Euphoria creator Sam Levinson.

A Performance in V Acts follows Live from Blackalachia, another live concert film released by Sumney last year.
