Maritime Announce First New Album in Four Years

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jun 23, 2015

Milwaukee-loving indie pop project Maritime had previously hinted at a new LP heading our way sometime soon, and it turns out that it officially lands next October. The quartet's next record is called Magnetic Bodies/Maps of Bones, and it's their first studio full-length in four years.

The outfit's fifth album arrives October 16 through Dangerbird Records and follows 2011's "Human Hearts." Not much has been revealed behind the record just yet, but a press release notes that the act, which features former Promise Ring members Davey von Bohlen and Dan Didier, had been working on Magnetic Bodies/Maps of Bones over the last year.

While a tracklisting for the set has yet to appear, it'll presumably feature the band's recent, hometown-celebrating single "Milwaukee." The song is already up for sale as a digital download and was treated to a music video starring, among others, major league baseball mascot Bernie the Brewer. You'll find the video down below.

Maritime currently have a few concerts coming up across the U.S. More dates are expected to be announced sometime in the near future, along with additional album details. You'll find the schedule as-is down below.

10/01 Philadelphia, PA - Boot and Saddle
