Marduk

Those nutty Swedish black metaller’s Marduk promised that 1999 would see the release of their most extreme album yet, and that the title would be Panzer Division Marduk. Turns out it was more threat than promise, with songs titled “Christraping Black Metal” and “Fistfucking God’s Planet.” Ferocious as hell from beginning to end, PDM may well be the most extreme record to see release this year. It is definitely Marduk’s brightest moment. To expect them to topple this one would be ludicrous. God help us all if they ever manage.
