After moving into virtual spaces for last year's edition due to pandemic restrictions, Toronto's fourth annual Women from Space festival is due back in person for its 2022 event. The festivities will take place from April 28 to 30 at the newly revitalized Tranzac Club, with final performances taking place at 918 Bathurst on May 1.

Today, the festival has unveiled its 2022 lineup, featuring appearances by Toronto disco troupe Tush, Montreal bass clarinetist Lori Freedman with improvisational trombonist Scott Thomson, Inuit throat singing sisters PIQSIQ, and a closing set by legendary Toronto MuchMusic VJ/filmmaker/musician/poet, Sook-Yin Lee.

Further sets will come from Marilyn Lerner, Nicole Rampersaud, the Lipliners' Ronley Teper and contemporary flautist Sara Constant, as well as harp quartet Isabelle Clermont, Grace Scheele, Kathryn Merriam, and Elysha Vorstenbosch, among others.

Multidisciplinary performances blending sound, poetry, performance and visual media come from Paramorph Collective — the collaborative project of Kim Farris-Manning and An-Laurence Higgins. Meanwhile, shadow puppeteer Kristine White, dancer Bee Pallomina and percussionist Germaine Liu will explore ecology and plant mythology through collaborative performance.

Early bird tickets and passes go on sale on March 16 here, with single-night tickets priced at $12. Tickets from April 1 onward will be priced at $15 per night. Early-bird pricing for festival passes will run you $40, or $50 after April 1. Further details on this year's event can be found through Women from Space's official website.

The 2022 edition follows the fest's hybrid instalment in 2021, which featured performances by Eve Egoyan, Tania Gill, Britta B, Pursuit Grooves, Thanya Iyer, Laurel MacDonald, Laura Barrett and more. The event arrived in ticketholders' homes via Holobox Theater.
