Lala Lala — a.k.a. Chicago indie rocker Lillie West — has announced plans for a new album called I Want the Door to Open. It's due to arrive on October 8 through Hardly Art.
Featuring contributions by Ohmme, Christian Lee Hutson, Nnamdi Ogbonnaya, former tourmate Ben Gibbard and many more, the 11-track release finds West "questioning how to be herself fully in a world where the self is in constant negotiation," according to a release.
Today, West shares "DIVER," the record's lead single she describes as "the thesis of the album." The song comes with its own video directed by Brielle Brilliant and West herself.
I Want the Door to Open marks West's first full-length release since 2018's The Lamb.
