Chicago indie-pop artist Lillie West — better known as Lala Lala — has released her new single "Armida," a follow-up to her September standalone release "HIT ME WHERE IT HURTS."
"Armida" is a lush, weightless indie-pop dream — a stark contrast to the cinematic, heart-thumping "HIT ME WHERE IT HURTS" — and was written while the artist was on her path to sobriety.
"'Armida' is a true heartbreak song written after I had to get sober again last year. I asked Melina Duterte [of Jay Som] to produce. I was listening to a lot of Oneohtrix Point Never, and we used him as a sonic reference," West shared in a press statement.
