Despite the watery band name, rootsy Montreal outfit Lakes of Canada appear to have a taste for pyromania. This is judging by their new clip for "Eden."
The song is a harmony-driven, stomp-clapping folk-gospel cut from the forthcoming album Transgressions. In the accompanying video, we see slo-mo footage of toasty dance sessions in which the band members frolic within rings of flames (which adds a little weight to hellish lines like "Satan demands my soul"). Fashion-wise, Lakes of Canada appear to be filling Mumford & Sons' shoes as the music world's preeminent connoisseurs of suspenders.
Watch the clip below. Transgressions will be out on October 15.
Tour dates:
06/05 Montreal, QC - Divan Orange (music video launch party)
06/20 Toronto, ON - Cameron House
