Following 2021's excellent Waves, East Coast songwriter Kelly McMichael has followed it up with a new single, "Tour from Hell" — which, incidentally, coincides with a tour announcement.
Beginning with a surf-garage stomp, "Tour from Hell" is about hitting the road, with McMichael promising fans, "We got the goods / And you know I'll deliver." But it's not long before things go sideways, with McMichael singing about expenses and illnesses as the tempo queasily slows.
The song was inspired by shows that McMichael cancelled last year — which she will be making up for with a run of dates in Atlantic Canada and Ontario in June. Scroll past "Tour from Hell" to see the six-date schedule.
