After taking 2023 album Tears You Hide on the road last year, Toronto's Jeremie Albino has had some time to collect his thoughts into another new record titled Our Time in the Sun, arriving November 1 via Good People Record Co. and Dan Auerbach's Easy Eye Sound.
Albino teamed up with Auerbach to produce the record, as well as famed Nashville session musicians Pat McLaughlin, Sam Bacco and Tommy Brenneck. Their first song to track happens to be today's single drop, "Rolling Down the 405," which Albino said was "the most fun I've had making a record and it set the tone for the rest of the sessions," in press materials.
"This song just started as a fun song with guitars chugging along," he continued. "I thought it would be fun to write a classic road song. 18 wheelers, rubber on the blacktop and wind in your hair, ready for an adventure. It came together really quickly, it felt like the song was written in a few minutes. I started strumming and singing the melody and it all stumbled together with Dan and Mackie (McLaughlin) around the writing table."
