Toronto's Jeremie Albino has announced plans for his follow-up to 2019's Hard Time. Sophomore album Tears You Hide will arrive on June 9 through Majesticsilk Records.
Produced by long-time collaborator and manager Crispin Day, the album finds Albino joined once again by the Rosehall Band and Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes), who co-produced his debut. The resulting collaborative effort blends Americana, folk, blues and country and was recorded live off the floor.
Today, Albino shares the album's lead single "You I'm Waiting On" — about "the tension that builds up between two people that know they like each other but they're still waiting on the other to make the first move," Albino explained in a release. "Leaving the door open hoping one day they'll walk through it and mustering the courage to finally take that first step yourself."
