We've been very, very patient waiting for Jamie xx's follow-up to 2015's In Colour, and earlier this month, we finally got word that his sophomore album, In Waves, would be arriving later this year (via Young). Another preview of the album is out today, and it finds the producer teaming up with the legendary Robyn.
"Life" arrives today as Robyn's first major release since her 2018 album Honey, and Jamie's sixth taste of In Waves.
"I made this track pretty fast (for me) and I loved it from day one," the producer shared. "When I first heard Robyn's vocal it was at 6 a.m. after finishing playing at Pacha in Ibiza, it was the perfect moment. Robyn and I have spent time working together and hanging out for some years now, it's always a joy and always inspiring, I'm so glad and grateful that she is a part of In Waves. Thank you Robyn for bringing this track to life!"
