James Murphy's love of David Bowie is well-documented, so it doesn't come as too much of a surprise that the former LCD Soundsystem man covered the Thin White Duke's '70s hit "Golden Years." This appears on his soundtrack for While We Were Young, and the song can be heard now.
This isn't exactly a traditional cover, since it's barely a minute song and is performed entirely on plinking chimes. There aren't any vocals, but the melody is still recognizable. All in all, this sounds a bit like something that might appear on one of those Rockabye Baby! children's albums.
