Last month, Iron Maiden announced plans for their 17th studio album Senjutsu. Ahead of its release next month, the band have dropped another new single from the effort.
Today, they share "Stratego," which was written by guitarist Janick Gers and founder member/bassist Steve Harris. The song was recorded at Guillaume Tell Studios in Paris back in 2019 and was co-produced by Harris and Kevin "Caveman" Shirley.
Harris previously said of working at Guillaume Tell:
There's some very complex songs on this album — which took a lot of hard work to get exactly as we wanted them to sound, so the process was at times very challenging — but Kevin is great at capturing the essence of the band and I think it was worth the effort! I'm very proud of the result and can't wait for fans to hear it.
"Stratego" follows the album's previously released single, "The Writing on the Wall."
Senjutsu's 10 epic-length songs are due on September 3 via Parlophone.
