Once known as a garage rock band, Toronto's Invasions are continuing their foray into "surf western" with their No Darkness EP. It's available to stream now.
"Unknown Pleasures" has a perky bounce to contrast its melodic darkness and atmospherically aggressive arrangement. "Black Lagoon" is a little more laid-back, although it also has a strain of moody loudness, while "No Darkness" is laced with spaghetti western trumpets, surf twang and shadowy drama.
Hear it all below, where you'll also find Invasions' upcoming tour dates.
Tour dates:
06/20 Toronto, ON – M For 159 Manning (NXNE)
06/21 Toronto, ON – Silver Dollar (NXNE) *
