Annual metal-minded festival Heavy Montreal will not be taking place next summer. This morning, organizers broke the news that the festival will be on hiatus for 2020.
"It's not an easy decision to put one of our events on pause," chief operating officer of evenko, Jacques Aubé, said in a statement. "Several factors must be taken into consideration, including the number of non-festival metal/rock concerts that will be announced over the next few months."
Though the main festival will not happen next year, there will be a year-round series of concerts in Montreal and the province of Quebec presented by Heavy Montreal.
