Numerous studies have confirmed that solitary confinement can have deeply negative effects on psychological and physical well-being. For convicted con artist Billy McFarland, it also produced a 50-page plan to launch another Fyre Festival.

While serving four years of the six-year sentence he was handed after pleading guilty to defrauding investors and scamming ticket-buyers with 2017's cinematically disastrous luxury music festival, McFarland spent seven months in solitary confinement (notably for launching a podcast from prison).

There, he was able to reflect on all that had transpired since trapping attendees of his and Ja Rule's exclusive festival on an island in the Bahamas wasn't enough to make it succeed. Model influencers and cheese sandwiches just aren't going to cut it for some people — and that's okay.

Now that he's been out of prison for a year, McFarland is finally putting his plans — no, not repaying previous Fyre Festival attendees, for whom the law really advocated, with "something tech-based" — into action: you can purchase tickets to Fyre Festival II. It doesn't have a lineup, location (though he's thinking about somewhere in "the Caribbean"), venue or date (he and his mystery partners are "targeting Fyre Festival II for the end of next year"), but those are merely unimportant details.

UPDATE (8/23, 11:54 a.m. ET): Apparently the first round of tickets for Fyre Fest II have all been snatched up. "They sold out very very quickly," McFarland claimed in a new interview with TMZ.

"It has been the absolute wildest journey to get here, and it really all started during the seven-month stint in solitary confinement," McFarland explained in a robe-clad video announcement.

"I wrote out this 50-page plan of how it would take this overall interest and demand in Fyre, and how it would take my ability to bring people from around the world together and make the impossible happen, how I would find the best partners in the world to allow me to be me while executing Fyre's vision to the highest level," he went on, stopping only to brag about another forthcoming Fyre Fest documentary and a broadway musical(?).

The tech bro added, "Guys, this is your chance to get in. This is everything I've been working towards. Let's fucking go."

The first 100 tickets are on sale for $499 USD apiece, with prices for the next batches to start gradually increasing until they reach the absolute steal of a deal that is $7,999.
