Following their 2023 full-length I Might Start Smoking, "Your Type" finds Alanna and Brianne Finn-Morris capturing the immature and insecure feelings one may experience upon finding out about an ex’s new partner.
For the Exclaim! New Faves alumni, it isn't that this new love interest has simply taken their place — it's that, "She's 5'3 but looks like me / And her name rhymes with mine." As the duo divulge on Instagram, "Your Type" was penned "for the sole purpose of processing irrational emotions."
