Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: Julie Doiron, Boy Golden, Hotel Mira

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Jul 5, 2024

With both Canada Day and Independence Day falling within the past few days, it's been a slow week for new releases — but there are still a number of new Canadian tracks to soundtrack the weekend's backyard barbecues and park picnics.

Classic Canadian indie stalwarts like Julie Doiron and Dog Day have new tracks out, while acts like Hotel Mira and Fionn put a pop-friendly spin on rock. Listeners can head to the dance floor with Cecile Believe and deadmau5, or kick up dust with rootsy tunes from Boy Golden and the Redhill Valleys.

All that and more is available in the latest instalment of The Eh! List, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken — all Canadian and proud of it!
