Self-described as a "garage-shock noise-filled combo," Edmonton/Montreal duo the Famines have spent much of their five years bringing their unique brand of noise on multiple tours (a skill they've got down to an art form). In 2011, they compiled their singles into a complete collection, and say they'll be recording a new album starting in January of next year.
We caught up with the guys for a performance of a new song, titled "Attack Machine Blues." The two-minute track is a fiery one, driven by the frenetic pace of Raymond Biesinger's guitar playing and Garrett Kruger's equally quick drumming. Check it out below.
The Famines will close out 2013 with a couple of show in Alberta:
12/30 Calgary, AB - Commonwealth
12/31 Edmonton, AB - Wunderbar
Filmed by Roberto Granados-Ocon & Katherine Kwan
Audio by Nash Bussieres
Edited by Michael Thomas
