Charli XCX-backed future-pop prodigy ELIO has announced the release of her debut album, alongside sharing new single "More Than My Mind."
Arriving April 19, the first LP from the Los Angeles-via-Toronto singer-songwriter/producer will be called Something in the Air and is now available for pre-order. It follows a slew of EPs the artist born Charlotte Lee has self-released over the last few years, most recently 2022's ELIO'S INFERNO mixtape — previously featured in Exclaim!'s Staff Picks.
"I’m so proud of this album," ELIO wrote in the latest edition of her email newsletter. "I feel like when you start releasing music it can feel daunting to think about what you want to say and sound like on your debut album. I was scared of approaching it but as soon as a started writing I knew I wanted to make it more personal and intricate than my previous projects. I feel like it’s the perfect time to reintroduce yourself and really dig up your life and what brought you here and what you’re feeling."
