Creed's Scott Stapp Details New Solo Album 'Higher Power,' Shares Lead Single

It's his first project in five years

Scott Stapp has announced that his upcoming solo album Higher Power will arrive on March 15 via Napalm Records

The ten-track project will be the Creed frontman's first full-length release in nearly five years following 2019's The Space Between Shadows

After initially previewing the album with the title track back in August, Stapp dropped the second single, "What I Deserve," with Greek guitar maestro Yiannis Papadopolous to punctuate the announcement today.

In a press release, Stapp revealed Papadopolous's vitality to the track, saying: "This song pleads both guilty and innocent, with Yiannis's guitar solo being the voice that articulates a chaotic search for deliverance and the epic release of passionate closure."

Papadopolous features on two more of the album's songs, joining a list of guest contributors rounded out by Dorothy and Steve McEwan.

Higher Power's timely arrival directly precedes Stapp's first live performance with Creed in over a decade as they embark on their two reunion cruises from Florida to the Bahamas at the end of April 2024.
