CATL Sing the "Cocaine Blues" on New Song

The track comes from their upcoming album 'Bide Time Until I Die'

Toronto two-piece CATL will release their latest LP Bide Time Until I Die next month, but first, they've teased the full album with a new track called "Cocaine Blues."

The song was initially recorded a decade ago for the band's second album, but it ended up being a stripped-down acoustic track because they couldn't get the drums right.

"I always wanted to record a louder version with drums and got the chance on this latest release," guitarist Jamie Fleming tells Exclaim! "We recorded it at Sam Phillips Recording Studio in Memphis with Adam Hill, and got a great '50s rock and roll sound. The song is real simple lyrically and is about those folks that can't put the cocaine down."

It also features the line from which CATL took their latest album title.

Bide Time Until I Die is due out September 21. See the band's upcoming tour dates below, then hit play for your first listen to "Cocaine Blues."
