Going all Goop on us, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker is branching out with his very own wellness line — though one that is very cannabis in nature.
Called Barker Wellness, the newly launched venture will find Barker rolling out a line of cannabinoid-infused products in aims to help people out there find rest and relaxation.
The company will focus on three main areas: sleep, maintenance and recovery. Barker Wellness aims to do this via products like THC-free tinctures, pain relief creams and "snap packets" (individually wrapped and pre-measured tinctures). Used together, they "work harmoniously to promote full mind and body wellness," according to the company.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Barker explained that he started working on his own wellness brand about two years ago as a result of Blink-182's gruelling touring schedule, which took its toll on him.
"As a symptom of being in the music space and just touring, I would always do a CBD bath or an epsom salt bath or take a ton of CBD after shows, and I started to notice that recovery was an issue, especially touring for months [and] doing five to six shows a week," he said. "And the process became like, 'How do I feel with recovery?' I tried everything from cryotherapy to massage therapy, but CBD was like the best kind of result that I got."
Right now, Barker Wellness is exclusively available online but he hopes to expand.
"In a perfect world for me, I want the product to be everywhere, from places like Erewhon to Sephora to CVS," he said. "This isn't a Band-Aid, one-time project. I really want this to help people."
You can learn much more about the company via the Barker Wellness website.
As previously reported, Blink-182 are busy working on their new album, which will feature Grimes, as well as the band's long-rumoured collaboration with Pharrell and Lil Uzi Vert
