The 2014 Tumblr girl era continues to be upon us, but that's merely coincidental to Paramore enjoying their comeback after five years away.
Over the summer, the band announced a North American tour — long before news of forthcoming album This Is Why (while we appreciate the explanation, nobody was asking; we were all just grateful to have them back on the road). With it, they've brought "Misery Business" out of retirement and even performed Brand New Eyes fan favourite "All I Wanted" live for the first time.
Now that we know what we know, it feels like an interesting decision to tour ahead of the new album. Something to decode, perhaps?
Speaking of, something mysterious is afoot: today, several major arena-sized venues — including Toronto's Scotiabank Arena and New York's Madison Square Garden — shared photos on social media with Paramore's sixth album splashed across their billboards captioned with emoji-usage that can only be described as coy.
The trio themselves shared the MSG photo on their Instagram, proving they're in on everything and further solidifying that more touring plans than the run of smaller shows (including Toronto's History on November 7) might be in the works.
What's more, tomorrow's date (November 4) on the Paramore website calendar is labelled with just that — "more." We simply can't feign ignorance!
