Toronto Raptors Championship Film Gets a Release Date

The Toronto Raptors will open the 2019-2020 NBA season as the league's defending champions next week, and for those looking to relive the team's historic playoff run, the officially licensed commemorative film now has a release date.

Set to arrive October 22, 2019 NBA Champions: Toronto Raptors will offer viewers exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the team through interviews, commentary and never-before-seen footage from the 2018-2019 season.

The 80-minute film includes exclusive interviews with Kawhi Leonard, Kyle Lowry, Marc Gasol and head coach Nick Nurse, as well as includes a number of bonus features such as Leonard's top NBA Finals plays, the Raptors' top five regular season plays and more.

The Raptors' run to the NBA finals saw support from the likes of Maestro Fresh Wes, Cadence Weapon, the Rolling Stones and sideline staple Drake. After capturing the title, Arkells rewarded coach Nurse for all his hard work.

The film will arrive in Blu-ray Combo, DVD and digital formats. You can watch a trailer below. The Raptors open the 2019-2020 season on October 22 versus the New Orleans Pelicans.
