It's shaping up to be a two-dose summer for most Canadian adults, meaning that our social calendars might get a little busier in the coming weeks and months. After spending all that time outside, you're going to need to unwind in front of the TV — which is why it's good news that Netflix has a hefty slate of shows and movies coming in July 2021.
The second season of I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson arrives on July 6, bringing lots of surreal humour and appearances from Tim Heidecker, Bob Odenkirk and Patti Harrison. Another marquee show follows on July 23 in the form of Kevin Smith's Masters of the Universe: Revelation. The fourth season of Atypical also arrives on July 9, and the second season of Never Have I Ever lands on July 15.
As for movies, Netflix is releasing a trio of films based on R.L. Stine's Fear Street books, with each instalment arriving a week apart. With teens, nostalgia and spookiness, the whole thing has a distinct Stranger Things vibe (especially since actor Sadie Sink is in two of the movies). There will also be lots of notable non-originals coming to the service, including IT Chapter Two, Top Gun, Moneyball, War of the Worlds, all three Meet the Parents movies, John Wick 3 and more.
