Bo Burnham Releases 63 Minutes of 'Inside' Outtakes

A deluxe edition of 'Inside (The Songs)' lands this Friday

A year on from delivering his Emmy Award-winning comedy special Inside, Bo Burnham has shared 63 minutes of previously unseen outtake footage he shot during the one-man operation — and is gearing up to release a deluxe version of Inside: The Songs this Friday (June 3).

Much has transpired in the past year since the comedian-musician distilled a lot of isolation-induced collective grief through humour: among other things, Phoebe Bridgers became Burnham's foremost cover artist, with the two teaming up to perform "That Funny Feeling" — which made Exclaim!'s 30 Best Songs of 2021 — ahead of the singer-songwriter releasing her own version of the standout track from the special.

But most recently, the comedian has been editing the unused material from the project, writing on Twitter last night (May 30) that he's spent the last two months putting together the Inside outtakes for your viewing pleasure.
Burnham has uploaded the hour-plus compilation to his YouTube channel, and shared a pre-save link for the deluxe edition of the album — from which "All Eyes on Me" won a Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
