Following last year's duet series, the Weather Station (a.k.a. Toronto folkie Tamara Lindeman) has announced plans to issue an EP this fall and a new full-length in 2015.
Up first will be the six-song mini-release What Am I Going to Do with Everything I Know, which arrives through You've Changed Records on October 14. A press release explains that the EP was recorded with roots figure Daniel Romano, who had also tracked her 2011 sophomore LP All of It Was Mine and participated in the first instalment of last year's duet series. The set was recorded in both Welland, ON, and in North Carolina, with members of Megafaun backing Lindeman up on the "startling intimate" song cycle.
The limited-edition 12-inch release presents interconnected songs on each side, with the first trio of tracks acting as "a meditation on knowledge," and the flipside being "a love story in three parts." You can stream the early morning softness of "What Am I Going to Do (With Everything I Know)" down below, where you'll also find the tracklisting for the EP.
The Weather Station has also revealed that her third full-length has been completed. Dubbed Loyalty, the record found her joined in the studio by Bahamas' Afie Jurvanen and Feist collaborator Robbie Lackritz. Few details have been let loose beyond that, but the album is expected to land sometime in 2015.
As previously reported, the Weather Station is hitting the road with Bahamas later this month. You can check out the joint dates down below as well.
