After making headlines with news of his first lead film role earlier this month, Vince Staples is teasing the imminent arrival of new music, complete with a handful of special guests.
Taking to Twitter today, Staples announced the arrival of new material this coming Friday (November 2). While not indicating whether or not it would be a single or complete project, it will follow single "Get the Fuck Off My Dick," which Staples delivered in March.
Staples elaborated on the release in an additional post on Instagram, complete with a photo of himself from childhood.
"I took time off from recording my next album to make a very special project dedicated to my biggest fan and supporter since day one," Staples wrote. "He said he needed something that represented him and where he comes from so here it is. Thank you for years of loyalty, I do this for people like you."
Staples also revealed his latest work will feature a handful of "California legends," dryly naming himself twice alongside contributions from Jay Rock, Kamaiyah, Tyga (credited as "T Raw") Lil Fade and "MANY MORE."
Over the weekend, Staples also teased a few snapshots from a video shoot. A clapperboard featured in both posts points to a song titled "Fun," in addition to the involvement of director Calmatic and cinematographer Ryan Helfant.
