On social media, TDE founder Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith shared a video of the label's logo above a glowing progress bar. Upon the bar's completion, the teaser reveals a date pointing to May 7. According to Tiffith's post, that is when "THE WAIT IS OVAH."
Now, fans will surely spend the next week theorizing who the release date could be for, so we'll run down the label's recent activity to help make your estimate.

At the tail end of 2020, SZA shared new singles "Good Days" and "Hit Different," the latter of which featured Ty Dolla $ign and the Neptunes. Both songs are expected to appear on her long-awaited follow-up to 2017's acclaimed Ctrl

In 2018, Jay Rock released his most recent album Redemption. That year also saw the label produce Black Panther: The Album, led by Lamar, whose most recent studio release remains 2017's DAMN.

Finally, the trio of Isaiah Rashad, Ab-Soul and Lance Skiiwalker have not released new projects since 2016, when they delivered The Sun's TiradeDo What Thou Wilt. and Introverted Intuition, respectively.

Recently, Tiffith and ScHoolboy Q were tied to forthcoming animated series The Freak Brothers, while the latter also guested on a single from Freddie Gibbs. Lamar launched company pgLang in 2020 and jumped on a track with Busta Rhymes.
