Details are still developing, but it's a fact: long-running punk crew the Vandals are issuing a new EP this spring. Set to drop sometime in March, this will be the band's first new material in almost 10 years.
Bassist Joe Escalante's Kung Fu Records announced the release earlier this week, tweeting, "#TheVandals, we can confirm, are in the studio at this very moment putting finishing touches on new tracks. Release Date: March 2013."
The band later added the slightest of details, tweeting, "We're recording a few songs with a special theme, not an entire album. What is this, 1994?"
The Vandals' last release was 2004's Hollywood Potato Chip, an LP that got the band in hot soup via a trademark infringement case in which entertainment trade Variety had sued the band over a parody of the publication's logo. The suit was dropped last year.
