Former backing players in Jo Passed's band and previously known as the duo bb, Bella Bébê and Megan-Magdalena now go by Bratboy. With drummer Tony Dallas having joined their ranks, the Vancouver band have released their first single under their new name.
"Blue Eyes" is a pop-punk banger that races by in two and a half minutes of giddy harmonies and crunchy power chords. The sugary '60s pop melodies and fuzzy tones evoke the classic punk of the Ramones, but the breakneck instrumental breaks hint at something much more anxious.
