U.S. Girls Details 'Half Free' LP, Shares "Woman's Work" Video

Toronto-based artist Meg Remy recently unveiled the latest video from her U.S. Girls project, sharing "Damn That Valley" as a teaser to her forthcoming full-length debut for her new label home 4AD. Now, details of that record have arrived. Titled Half Free, the LP is due out on September 25 via 4AD.

Producer and frequent Remy collaborator Onakabazien's work is featured throughout the record, though she also roped in guests like Slim Twig, Ben Cook, Amanda Crist and Tony Price.

According to a press release, Half Free marks another impressive musical progression for the artist, delivering "an honest and lyrically jarring exploration of emotions, drenched in a bath of raw beats and loops that have become the hallmark of her work."

In addition to the album announcement, Remy has shared a new clip for second single "Woman's Work." The track tackles themes of beauty and neurosis, while the video observes "our collective paralysis in the face of aging." The footage has a vintage feel to it, while projections of eyeballs add an eerie vibe that matches the drama of the song.
