The unearthed 1969 Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young live album that Neil Young claims "sounds like God" has been detailed. Live at the Fillmore East, 1969, arrives October 25 via Rhino Records.

The previously unreleased multi-track recording of CSNY's September 20, 1969, concert at the historic Fillmore East in New York City captures their fourth show in two days at the venue.

The performance featured both acoustic and electric sets, featuring songs from from CSN's self-titled debut, Young originals like "Down by the River," early versions of "4 + 20" and "Our House" before they were recorded for the group's celebrated Déjà Vu album, and even a Buffalo Springfield cut in "I've Loved Her So Long."

Stills and Young mixed the original recordings with John Hanlon at Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles, and as the Canadian previously shared, the present-day production process was all-analog. The audio is AAA lacquer cut for the vinyl release to sound like God provide the highest audio fidelity.

An acoustic recording of "Helplessly Hoping" has landed alongside today's announcement, and you can hear those rich harmonies in the player below.

"Hearing the music again after all these years, I can tell how much we loved each other and loved the music that we were creating," Nash said. "We were four people revelling in the different sounds we were producing, quietly singing together on the one hand, then rocking like f**k for the rest of the concert."

Young will play Farm Aid later this month for his first performance after his North American tour with Crazy Horse was cancelled due to illness. He also recently detailed the third Archives box set in his ongoing series.

Nash, meanwhile, will play two Canadian shows on a fall North American tour this October.
