It's their latest following 2021's 'It's Gonna Be Fine' EP

Exclaim! Class of 2022 alumni Paste have just shared their latest track "Razor Thin" with an edgy new music video.

Inspired by the likes of the Weakerthans, Wolf Parade and the Replacements, the band's new single tackles their usual themes of dissatisfaction, identity and growing up. Fuzzy guitars and saturated vocals dominate the track, which calls upon the alt-rock of the early aughts.

"'Razor Thin' is a song about growing up and realizing that you don't have enough time to try everything you want to try. I think everyone takes that for granted when they're very young, and then it hits you that you're running out of time faster than you ever thought possible," Paste bandleader Dylan Taylor (also of Blanks) said of the track. "It's the realization that you only have a very small amount of time to live that makes everything that much more meaningful, and I think that's the melancholy we want to express with this song."

"Razon Thin" is the group's latest following last year's It's Gonna Be Fine EP, and their first material featuring keyboardist Ginger Taylor, bassist Kieran Douglas and drummer Sam Cohen on record. They, alongside co-founders Dylan Taylor and Will Agnew, have spent the last year perfecting their stage presence, channelling rowdy charisma into high-energy performances.

The music video for the track was shot in one take, and shows Dylan Taylor in his apartment's shower, smoking a cigarette and smearing his corpse paint-makeup. Watch it below.
