KOZA is back with new music. The Toronto-based Exclaim! Class of 2023 grad has released a cover of Björk's "All Is Full of Love" in collaboration with Montreal-based producer and Mr. Joy's Asher Gould-Murtaugh.
"It began as a production exercise on my part," said Gould-Murtagh of the song's conception. "It's one of my all-time favourite songs, and I wanted to see if I could get inside what they had done in the original, and recreate it with a new spin."
The duo's take on "All Is Full of Love" is defined by changing the emphasis of the song from Björk's vocals with background instrumentals to an instrumental with vocals as its complementary piece, with KOZA's voice floating above the enhanced bass, drums and synths to perfection.
"KOZA's vocals were really the cherry on top," Gould-Murtaugh continued. "They just soar in such a perfect way, I can't think of anyone else who could have nailed it in the same way."
