Toronto's Jane Inc Shares "Obliterated" from 'Number One'

Carlyn Bezic — U.S. Girls member and one-half of Toronto's Ice Cream — revealed plans for her solo project Jane Inc late last year, and since then she's offered up a handful of new singles from her forthcoming debut album Number One. Ahead of the record's release next week via Telephone Explosion, Bezic has now dropped a new track titled "Obliterated."

"'Obliterated' imagines the moment that the IRL self is overtaken by the online self, leaving a serene melancholy and calm resignation," Bezic said of her latest release.

The song follows album singles "Steel" and "Gem."

Jane Inc's debut album began as a solo affair, though Bezic later enlisted the help of recording engineer Steve Chahley to co-produce. The album also features contributions by Scott Hardware, Evan J. Cartwright of U.S. Girls and Aquakultre's Nick Dourado.

Listen to "Obliterated" below.

Number One arrives on March 19 via Telephone Explosion.
