Just over two years removed from sharing their Sugar at the Gate album, TOPS have shared a pair of new songs that the band are collecting on a 7-inch.

Both "Echo of Dawn" and "Seven Minutes" arrive today digitally to celebrate the launch of the Montreal outfit's own record label, Musique TOPS. Both were recorded during sessions for Sugar at the Gate, and you can hear the newly shared tracks below.

"Echo of Dawn" was written while bandmates Jane Penny and David Carriere were living in California, while "Seven Minutes" was inspired by the effects of self-doubt and insecurity.

"I like the way a song can be upbeat and groovy and still deal with dark subject matter," Penny said of the latter. "The chords become a source of empowerment against those bad thoughts. It's important to move past these feelings and keep doing your thing, but the negativity we hold for ourselves can make you feel like a fraud, the song is almost like an imposter syndrome anthem."

TOPS have also revealed plans for a North American headlining tour, set to kick off next April. A trio of Canadian stops will first bring them to Montreal's Rialto Theatre on April 21, before a date at Toronto's Adelaide Hall the following evening on April 22. From there, they'll play Vancouver's Imperial Theatre on April 28.

Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday (October 25) through the band's official website. See the full schedule below.

The Echo of Dawn / Seven Minutes 7-inch is now available for pre-order.
