Could Blink-182's classic trio of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker be reuniting? It seems so, based on DeLonge's comments in a recent interview.
Late last week (November 4), Tom DeLonge appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden as part of a performance with Angels & Airwaves. In an interview segment, Corden inquired about a Blink-182 reunion, and DeLonge gave a very promising answer that suggested it's not a question of if, but when:
We always talk about playing together again. I think that's definitely something we're all interested in — finding the time to do it, where it lines up with everybody's priorities, is really all that's needed. And getting Mark healthy again, getting him strong again. But, yeah, I'm down. I think those guys are down. I think just finding the time to do it, and when, is really what we've got to figure out.
DeLonge has been in Blink-182's orbit quite often lately, as he has frequently expressed his support for Hoppus throughout his cancer battle. And back in 2019, Hoppus admitted that Blink-182 were better when DeLonge was a member.
Current guitarist Matt Skiba previously said that Blink-182 have completed new material. He told Rock Sound back in September that the members had remotely recorded some songs while in lockdown.
Exclaim! recently interviewed DeLonge about government secrets, "paranormal stuff" and his favourite Blink-182 memories.
