In the past five years, British Columbia's Teen Daze has released a string of electronic albums and EPs, but now he's overhauled his sound for the new single "Morning World."
This is the songwriter's first release through his new label home of Paper Bag Records. "Morning World" was recorded at John Vanderslice's all-analogue San Francisco studio Tiny Telephone along with co-producer Simon Bridgefoot. The results bear some traces of Teen Daze's atmospheric, synth-based past, but there's also a more straightforward psych-pop vibe with live drums and guitars and soft, clear vocals.
Below, listen to the track [via Noisey] along with a home recorded demo of the same song.
Earlier this year, Teen Daze promised that a new full-length would be on the way in 2015.
