After nearly a decade of music-making, American outfit TEEN have announced plans to call it quits.
"It was a difficult decision to leave behind such a special, dear project, but we are also enthusiastic about what the future will bring," the band wrote in a statement. "It has been a long, exciting, and arduous road, colored with unbelievable experiences and opportunities. We have been incredibly fortunate to continue as a touring band for all these years."
Formed in 2010 by ex-Here We Go Magic keyboardist Kristina "Teeny" Lieberson, TEEN released debut album In Limbo in 2012 through Carpark. The band released their fourth LP, Good Fruit, through the label in March of this year.
"We would like to thank anyone and everyone who has been involved with us musically over the years - especially those who have been in various iterations of the band - Maia Ibar, Jen Turner, Sarah Galdes, Miles Arntzen, @spidersongs and above all, Boshra AlSaadi and Daniel Schlett. Thank you for being a part of our family," the band wrote.
TEEN have revealed plans to play a pair of final shows in October. They will first play Chicago's Hideout Inn on October 27 before playing Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg on October 30. The latter date "will be full of special guests and surprises."
