Ahead of releasing new album Black Moon next week, Tasha the Amazon has shared a new video for "Helluva Ride."
The track comes accompanied by a Colin G Cooper-helmed video, in which Tasha raps beneath the flickering lights of an empty prison. As Tasha explained on Instagram, the visuals for the Danthrax-produced cut were done in homage to the Prodigy's Keith Flint, who passed away in March of this year.
"Keith's death this year was heartbreaking for me," Tasha wrote in her post. "It made me think a lot about the dark side of success in this industry, the side people don't get to see. It's a theme that comes into a lot of my music, because it's everywhere…it just felt right to bring the spirit of Keith into these visuals and pay homage to him in a way that felt real."
Tasha called Flint "a constant inspiration" and even revealed that she once recorded a remix of the group's "Smack My Bitch Up" that remains unreleased. You can watch the video for "Helluva Ride" below.
Tasha the Amazon last released her Juno-nominated EP Die Every Day in 2016.
