Tanlines

"Palace" (video)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jun 22, 2015

Tanlines recently dropped their latest LP Highlights on True Panther Sounds, and now the Brooklyn-based electronic pop duo have offered up a new video for album cut "Palace."

The clip is about as Brooklyn as it gets, featuring directing credits from Lena Dunham collaborators Alex Karpovsky (who stars in Girls) and Teddy Blanks (who composed the score for Tiny Furniture). In addition to significant screen time for Karpovsky, the video stars Orange Is the New Black actress Natasha Lyonne, Ben Sinclair, Leo Fitzpatrick and Tanlines members Eric Emm and Jesse Cohen.

It features an ever-arguing couple (Emm and Lyonne), while Karpovsky plays out what it might be like for Emm if he embraced the single life.
