Tanlines Take 'Highlights' on North American Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Apr 7, 2015

As previously reported, it will be another month before New York pop duo Tanlines reveal their Highlights to listeners at home. Following the album's May 19 release via True Panther Sounds, the group will take those songs and more on a North American summer tour.

Though the pair had previously announced a couple of U.S. shows around Highlights' street date, the tour proper won't begin until the end of June. The month-long trip has singer/guitarist Eric Emm and multi-instrumentalist Jesse Cohen spending the bulk of the summer below the U.S. border, but they will cross into Canada for an appearance at Vancouver's Electric Owl venue on July 7.

You'll find all of the itinerary details down below.

As previously reported, Highlights is Tanlines' sophomore set, following 2012's Mixed Emotions. The album was produced by the band and Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor, and promises to feature a mix of "90's New York hip-hop drums, Detroit techno synths, and lots and lots of guitars."

You can see the video for "Invisible Ways" beneath the tour dates, and explore the band's new Netflix-spoofing website over here.
