While Sun Wizard guitarist/singer James Younger introduced his solo career last year with an online EP, the Vancouver-based pop-rock songwriter is now fully set to jump in the game with his proper debut, Feelin' American.
A press release reports that the LP, which Light Organ Records serves up June 25, has Younger delivering "razor-sharp dance rock with soul, swagger and substance." Apparently, song ideas for the platter had accumulated over the years after Younger left his Manchester home to travel through the U.S., ultimately landing in Vancouver. Since then, he's played with Sun Wizard and is currently a touring member of the Zolas.
A tracklisting has yet to be revealed, but the song cycle is said to be influenced by the Smiths, Tom Petty and the Strokes. You can check out the previously revealed "Monday Morning," which acts as Feelin' American's first single, in the player down below. That's the album cover above.
