Skydiggers

"An Apology"

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Sep 29, 2017

After recently announcing the new album Warmth of the Sun, Canadian folk vets Skydiggers are sharing another track off the upcoming record. This time, we're getting the new song "An Apology."

The track follows the recently shared title track "Warmth of the Sun," and in a statement, Skydiggers songwriter Andy Maize had this to say about the new song:

I started fooling around with it on one of my writing retreats at the Banff Centre, raising the key to make it a little more plaintive. In the recording we added a solo and another bridge to try to get it to the two-minute mark. It's nice to be able to reach back to older songs that for one reason or another never fell into place. Anything we have written is always there somewhere. Songs sometimes tell you when they are ready. They're never gone.

You can hear "An Apology" for yourself below.

As previously reported, Warmth of the Sun arrives on October 20 via Latent Recordings. You can see Skydiggers' upcoming tour dates over here.
