Canadian rock duo Sierra are gearing up to release their new concept EP 72 this spring, and Exclaim! is proud to give you a first look at the material with a video for "Prologue 1972."
A press release reveals that 72 will take the listener on a journey of "love, loss, grief, injustice, and revenge" in telling the story of a murder that took place in the group's hometown of Kitchener-Waterloo. While not a reenactment of any sort, part of the story was interpreted for the video by director Torin Langen. Shot entirely in black and white, the clip shows a girl coming back from the dead to get revenge on her killer with the band's dark, brooding prog-indebted suite serving as a worthy score.
72 is set to arrive on March 4 through the band, both digitally and on CD. Watch the grim visuals for "Prologue 1972" in the player below.
