Though the lineup has changed over the years, Brazilian metal titans Sepultura have been giving fans the goods one way or another for 30 years. The veteran outfit will celebrate this impressive feat by touring North American this spring.
The band's anniversary plans were revealed today (March 2), with the tour bringing Sepultura across the continent throughout May and June. While most of the trek takes place beneath the U.S./Canada border, there are Sepultura shows to be seen in Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto and Montreal.
The full trip finds Sepultura supported by Destruction and Arsis, with select dates featuring performances from Boris the Blade, the Last Ten Seconds of Life, Micawber and Starkill. You'll find all of the date, venue and roster details down below.
We'll have to wait and see if the current lineup pepper the anniversary performances with selections from debut disc Morbid Visions, but guitarist Andreas Kisser confirms they'll be favouring their most recent outing, The Mediator Between Head and Hands Must Be the Heart.
"It's going to be an amazing experience to celebrate a 30-year career with the strongest album we've ever made in our history," he said in a statement, adding, "We are coming back to America and Canada with full force and with a hunger to destroy everything! Can't wait to perform the songs from the new album on stage!"
